So you're interested in joining the choir?

That's super! We're always excited to meet people up for joining us.

The last round of auditions was held in February 2017. Anyone who missed out on this opportunity will be added to our waiting list which is maintained until the next round of auditions is held. Auditions are typically held every 18-24 months if a certain number of members have moved on.

If you have been added to the waiting list since our last round of auditions, expect to hear from us. Please read on to learn more about what's involved before putting yourself forward for an audition.

Joining Gardiner Street Gospel Choir

Please read on about what's involved in being a member of the choir.

If you're happy with all of this and feel you can give this level of commitment, then please drop us an email to Join@GardinerStreetGospelChoir.com with your contact details, what your vocal range is (tenor, for example), any relevant previous experience and why you're interested in joining.

We will reply to your email as soon as possible to let you know that you have been added to the membership waiting list.

Thanks for your interest!

The GSGC Team.

What's involved

  • The choir year runs from late August to late May.
  • Weekly rehearsal every Wednesday 7.30-9.30pm, changing to 8.00-9.30pm in the second half of your first year.
  • Weekly evening Mass every Sunday with a 1 hour rehearsal beforehand (6.30pm - 8.30pm).
  • Extra gigs/performances throughout the year, potentially with extra rehearsals in the lead up to these events.
  • Ability to read sheet music not a requirement but definitely an advantage in getting up to speed with our repetoire.
  • Any stage experience, particularly music and dance is also an advantage but not a requirement.
  • You must be over 18 years of age.
  • All members are required to go through the Garda vetting process regardless of whether you have done so for another organisation or not.
